Graduates celebrated at RGIT Australia’s Hobart Campus Graduation Ceremony at RACV/RACT Hobart Apartment Hotel on Tuesday, 21 May 2019. RGIT Australia staff, trainers, education agents, families and loved ones looked on with pride as students took photos with their gowns and motarboards before official proceedings commenced.
Following a welcome speech by the Master of Ceremonies, Guest of Honour, Alderman Damon Thomas, was invited on stage to deliver a speech in which he congratulated graduates and commended RGIT Hobart Campus' role in contributing to local industry.
RGIT Australia CEO, Chandra Yonzon, was welcomed on stage and gave an inspirational speech in which he thanked graduates for their dedication to their studies at RGIT and on-campus particpation, contributing to an active student life. Mr Yonzon congratulated all graduates, their families and friends for their support, and ceremony organisers.
RGIT Australia's Training Manager & Hospitality Coordinator, Ayush Gupta, congratulated graduates and spoke of the pride of RGIT Australia's training staff have to see their students celebrate the milestone of graduation, and expressed his best wishes for graduate's journeys beyond RGIT Australia.
A highlight of the ceremony were speeches by RGIT Australia's Outstanding Student Award recipients. Diploma of Leadership and Management graduate, Prashansa Acharya; Diploma of Information Technology Networking graduate, Gabriel Martins; and Diploma of Hospitality Management graduate, Lisha He, were welcomed on stage and presented with Outstanding Student Awards before addressing fellow graduates.
Hobart Campus Manager, Anil Shrestha, closed official proceedings with an interactive speech congratulating all graduates, their families and guests.
Mr Shrestha spoke of the close-knit community of RGIT Australia's Hobart Campus student cohort before inviting all graduates on stage for photographs before before refreshments.
