RGIT Australia hosted a HR seminar for Business and Management students on Tuesday, 5 February 2019.
RGIT Australia’s own Human Resources Department, in collaboration with the Institute’s Business and Management faculty, facilitated the seminar which focused on recruitment and selection and induction processes.
The practical session brought role play and discussion to the multi-campus theater, in which students learned practical skills and mediums used by RGIT Australia itself. The processes taught are used by organisations to appropriately recruit and select employees. The seminar focused on:
- legal issues which affect recruitment and selection;
- the role of HR in the recruitment and selection process; and
- the role of supervisors and peers in the recruitment and selection of team members.
The seminar took place at Melbourne Main Campus with Business and Management students from the Hobart Campus participating via teleconference.
Students participated in the interactive seminar to help fulfill the requirements of BSBHRM506 Manage recruitment selection and induction processes.
