Developments are under way to ensure RGIT's long-term viability as a quality education provider by bringing on board the support of an external Specialist Advisory Board.
RGIT Hospitality students treated staff and students to alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at an Operate a Bar session on Wednesday, 22 November 2017. Students put their training into practice when they served drinks with their Trainer, Ashwin, in accordance with Operate a Bar (SITHFAB202). Hands-on, practical sessions such as last week's Operate a Bar session allow students to gain the skills they need in order to serve alcohol responsibly.
RGIT International Marketing Officers, Monica and Nina, met with over 25 new agents to provide them with RGIT's latest developments as well as course offering at the Education Agents Forum held at Rendezvous Hotel, Melbourne, on Monday, 27 November 2017. It was a fantastic opportunity for RGIT's marketing team to introduce to new agents the fantastic range of courses that RGIT has to offer.
PTE Course Melbourne Sales and Marketing representative, Kishor Adhikari, visited six classrooms and held PTE information sessions at RGIT Melbourne Campus on Tuesday, 28 November 2017.
Today's marketing meeting showed that not all productive team meetings have to take place in the boardroom. RGIT's International Marketing and Communications teams sat down together today over lunch at a CBD restaurant to discuss ways the two teams can collaborate in reaching mutual short- and long-term goals in the international markets. The off-campus meeting was a great opportunity for the teams to sit down with RGIT CEO and wider leadership team in a casual setting, and to put forth new initiatives in a relaxed and fun environment.
RGIT Australia CEO, Chandra Yonzon, visited the institute's Hobart Campus on Friday, 17 November 2017. The visit saw Mr Yonzon share with the Hobart team personally positive news following recent developments at RGIT. CEO's visit was well-received in Hobart, with discussions surroudning how RGIT's two campuses can best collaborate across the Strait. The Hobart team expresses thanks for the special visit, the delivery of good news in person, and the motivation offered by the visit.
RGIT is pleased to announce that ASQA has approved RGIT to deliver further SIT (Hospitality) courses, which are upgraded courses from the now superseded SIT12 package. RGIT has been given official approval to deliver, assess and issue certificates for the following SIT package courses:
- SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality
- SIT31016 Certificate III in Patisserie; and
- SIT40716 Certificate IV in Patisserie
RGIT Hobart Campus participated in an information session organised by NewStars Education Councilors on Tuesday, 14 November 2017. The team at Hobart Campus had the opportunity to talk to almost 50 students about courses offered at the institute, as well as RGIT's registration as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
