You will learn in our fully equipped, state-of-the-art simulated Nursing Lab at our Victoria House campus, conveniently located on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne’s CBD. Our purpose-built facilities will provide you with a realistic setting in which you will confidently demonstrate your theoretical and practical knowledge to your trainers and peers.
Our Trainers and Staff
Our dedicated, professional training staff is well-equipped, enthusiastic, and ready to share with you their in-depth industry and academic knowledge.
You will complete a minimum of 480 hours of Professional Experience Placement (PEP) or work placement, supervised by a clinical teacher, in which you will:
Perform tasks relating to Nursing and healthcare in an appropriate industry setting gaining transferable skills demonstrated in a real workplace environment reflecting current industry needs and standards.
Interact with experienced workers who will pass on valuable skills and knowledge.
Gain a sense of what working in the healthcare industry will be like.
Practice and demonstrate hands-on skills.
Ask questions and learn about the industry from professionals.
Demonstrate your attributes for future employment possibilities.
Diploma of Nursing outcomes reflect the role of an enrolled nurse working under supervision of a registered nurse. Further information on registration is available at www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au.
RGIT Australia, through training in our Nursing Lab, will prepare you with the skills and knowledge required to provide nursing care across the health sector in a range settings, including opportunities in clinical settings such as aged care, rehabilitation, sub-acute and acute settings in public and private hospitals, nursing and community health care facilities.
