System Administrator

RGIT Australia, situated in Melbourne's CBD, is looking for a highly-motivated and dedicated System Administrator to manage our RGIT Campus operations.

This is a full-time position.

Salary: $50,000 - $59.999

Location: Melbourne CBD

 

Position purpose

The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, managing and maintaining the Student Management Systems (SMS) database architecture including RTO Manager and VETtrack by performing such duties as setting-up the modules, naming convention, ensuring integrity, reporting to authorities to maintain compliance, generating reports and maintaining students' records in an efficient and effective manner.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor in Information Technology or ICT related course(s)
  • Minimum 1 years experience in student management system in a Registered Training Organisation
  • Experience in the provision of student management system with diverse capabilities and skill sets within an RTO environment
  • Experience in the creation of relational database queries using environments such as MS Excel and Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced ability to multitask and prioritise multiple responsibilities
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Basic ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues
  • Effective and efficient problem solving
  • Accountability for personal work performance
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly persona during encounters with stakeholders

Position responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the student management system by designing course structures in accordance with the approved training and assessment strategies;
  • Develop, update, monitor and maintain staff and student SMS manuals;
  • Conduct training on the SMS usage to trainers and staff members on a regular basis in order to ensure effective operation of the system;
  • Generate reports and prepare learners' intervention lists as and when required;
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of student academic results on the SMS;
  • Liaise with SMS developers/vendors including other stakeholders on such business needs as customisation, changes in reporting requirements to resolve SMS issues, when required;
  • Ensure compliance of the data management system as per the regulatory requirements;
  • Oversee ICT infrastructure for the integrity of the system; and

Situated in an easily accessible location in Melbourne's CBD, the institute is looking for a highly-motivated and dedicated Nurse Educator for Diploma of Nursing program.

 

About the role

Nurse Educator will provide academic leadership in delivering specific units of study in the learning program. Duties include, facilitating student learning through teaching and learning activities, marking of assessment and facilitating communication. Nurse Educator will liaise with students, support staff, other educators and will report to the Campus Course Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing session plan
  • Course delivery
  • Resource and assessment tool validation
  • Associated administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with students, support staff, other educators and report to the Campus Course Coordinator.
  • Oversee student's clinical practice and deliver education and assessment opportunities.
  • Communicate with Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) to ensure effective and appropriate experience for students.
  • Guide students through their clinical placements, provide regular feedback and ensure creative techniques are used.
  • Measure student's competence against the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver education according to program requirements.

This is a full-time position.

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelors of Nursing degree or higher
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40110/TAE40116 (required)
  • Minimum 1-2 years current professional experience in teaching certificate level qualification (preferable)
  • Minimum 3 years Nursing experience in the industry with current knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Current work experience in the industry relevant to the subject being delivered .
  • Current APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and In-depth understanding of ASQA/ANMAC regulatory guidelines and standards is highly desirable.

Highly desirable skills include:

  • Experience within the VET sector as a trainer and/or assessor
  • Post Grad Qualifications in a nursing related field
