About the role

Nurse Educator will provide academic leadership in delivering specific units of study in the learning program. Nurse Educator will liaise with students, support staff, other educators and will report to the Campus Course Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing session plan
  • Course delivery
  • Resource and assessment tool validation
  • Associated administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with students, support staff, other educators and report to the Campus Course Coordinator.
  • Oversee student's clinical practice and deliver education and assessment opportunities.
  • Communicate with Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) to ensure effective and appropriate experience for students.
  • Guide students through their clinical placements, provide regular feedback and ensure creative techniques are used.
  • Measure student's competence against the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver education according to program requirements.

This is a full-time position.

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelors of Nursing degree or higher
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40110/TAE40116 (required)
  • Minimum 1-2 years current professional experience in teaching certificate level qualification (preferable)
  • Minimum 3 years Nursing experience in the industry with current knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Current work experience in the industry relevant to the subject being delivered .
  • Current APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and In-depth understanding of ASQA/ANMAC regulatory guidelines and standards is highly desirable.

Work based Training Coordinator (Hospitality Program) 

RGIT Australia, situated in Melbourne's CBD, is looking for highly-motivated and dedicated Work based Training Coordinator for the institute's Hospitality programs.

This is a full-time position. 

Position Purpose

The Work based training Coordinator is responsible for Managing and coordinating the work placement of students undertaking approved hospitality programs.The Work based training coordinator will also be responsible for visiting the workplace to assess the students and the workplace for the holistic unit.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Possession of relevant academic and/or vocational qualifications and experience.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Minimum 2 yrs of vocational education and training experience
  • Significant work experience in the Hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in communicating and networking with establishments and education stakeholders
  • Experience in working as part of a small group of people to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Experience in working with overseas students or multicultural / diverse communities.
  • Experience in working with the VET Quality Training Framework Standards for Registered Training Establishments and the ESOS national code.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assisting in determining the structure of work-based training and/or assessment for international students.
  • Developing the criteria on which the selection and approval of workplaces are based.
  • Liaising and consulting with a wide range of Hospitality establishments and groups involved in the vocational education and training field in order to manage and co-ordinate the work placement for RGIT Australia students.
  • Assisting in the development of an annual action plan to ensure that RGIT Australia meets the educational and training requirements.
  • Representing RGIT Australia at appropriate industry, provider and government training forums associated with the Hospitality sector.

  • Operate and maintain the student management system by designing course structures in accordance with the approved training and assessment strategies;
  • Develop, update, monitor and maintain staff and student SMS manuals;
  • Conduct training on the SMS usage to trainers and staff members on a regular basis in order to ensure effective operation of the system;
  • Generate reports and prepare learners’ intervention lists as and when required;
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of student academic results on the SMS;
  • Liaise with SMS developers/vendors including other stakeholders on such business needs as customisation, changes in reporting requirements to resolve SMS issues, when required;
  • Ensure compliance of the data management system as per the regulatory requirements;
  • Oversee ICT infrastructure for the integrity of the system; and

Position Purpose

The respective officer will be responsible for the business development, sales growth and brand building of RGIT Australia’s educational offerings in the allocated market (Northeast Asia). Specifically, the role will require promotion and growth of student numbers for RGIT Australia’s VET and ELICOS courses.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in field relating to business or marketing
  • Minimum 1 year experience in general sales and marketing or 1 year demonstrated experience in international student marketing, in a Registered Training Organisation
  • Knowledge of international student recruitment markets, particularly their allocated market, is preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement onshore and offshore marketing plans to recruit international students from the Northeast Asian region
  • General basic level capability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
