RGIT Australia’s Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) students visited Koorie Heritage Trust at Federation Square, Melbourne on 27 August 2018. The aim of the excursion was to teach students how to provide a safe childcare environment for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children to fulfill the requirements of CHCDIV002 - Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety.

RGIT Australia's Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) students had fun on an excursion to Reverse Art Truck Inc. in Ringwood as part of CHCECE018 - Nurture creativity in children on Thursday, 9 August 2018.
The unit, Nurturing creativity in children, is aimed at teaching students how to encourage young children to use their imaginations by playing with open-ended materials. Students put their creativity to the test, when they learned how to nurture young imaginations and creativity using solely recycled materials.

Early Childhood Education and Care students celebrated Eid at RGIT Australia Victoria House campus on Friday, 22 June 2018. The party was organised by students and trainers following Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Melbourne and around the world on Friday, 15 June 2018.

Early Childhood Education and Care students celebrated Chinese New Year with staff and trainers on Friday, 16 February 2018. Childcare students and staff came together to share in celebrations by bringing cuisines from their own cultures including Spaghetti bolognaise, biryani, and Chinese dumplings.

RGIT Australia was delighted to receive news last week that its regulator, Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), approved its application to add the delivery location of Hobart for the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and Certificate III in ECEC. RGIT Australia has heard inspirational stories from its ECEC students in Melbourne, and is excited to see the same opportunities become available for students wishing to study ECEC at its Hobart Campus.

RGIT hosted some lovely ladies who were keen to pursue a career in Early Childhood.
A workshop was held, where information was disseminated about the career opportunities available in the sector, which included but was not limited to being part of a family day-care centre, a childcare assistant and playgroup supervisor.
