Spring was in the air when RGIT Australia's ELICOS General English students made the most of the Melbourne sunshine when they enjoyed a fair dinkum Aussie barbie in Melbourne's CBD.

24-year-old Thai student, Nan, has made incredible progress since enrolling in RGIT Australia’s ELICOS General English program. They key to learning an additional language is to immerse oneself in the language and culture. To do this, RGIT Australia provides class excursions to give students like Nan the opportunity to put their classroom skills to the test. Practicing English with the locals, as well as people from all over the world, is they key to accelerating the language learning process.

RGIT Australia ELICOS Trainer, Neda, was delighted to share the steadfast progress made by students in her ELICOS General English Program this week. 25-year-old Brazilian student, Analice Ramos, is just one of many students who Neda describes as not being able to "make even one sentence when they first joined the ELICOS program."

ELICOS General English Program students enjoyed a barbecue with trainers, Alan, Liza and Neda, on the banks of the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne's CBD on Valentine's Day, 14 February 2018. Students and trainers made the most of the fantastic, cool summer weather with an Aussie barbie while learning English surrounded by friends.

ELICOS students and their trainers, Neda, Liza and Chloe, visited Melbourne Museum on Wednesday, 24 January 2018. Elementary, intermediate and advanced students of the ELICOS General English program visited the museum for an opportunity to learn about natural and cultural Australian history, spend time outside the classroom with their trainers and each other, and of course, to further develop their English speaking and comprehension skills in everyday settings.
